New Delhi, July 31 -- Delhi's Karkardooma court on Friday awarded a life sentence to Tahir Hussain and four other Convicts in the IB official Ankit Sharma murder case of 2020. He was murdered during the North East Delhi riots in February 2020 in Dayal Pur area. His mutilated body was recovered from a drain.

The Court observed the crime was heinous, barbarious, that shook the conscience of the society. The deceased was dragged like an animal after the murder. However it doesn't fall under the category of rarest of rare cases. The Prosecution was not able of attribute any specific role to any of the convicts.
