New Delhi, July 3 -- A Rouse Avenue court on Friday issued notice to Former Delhi Minister Satyender Jain on a revision moved by BJP MLA Karnail Singh in a defamation case. Singh has challenged the cognizance taken by the court on a defamation complaint filed by Jain.

Special Judge Jitendra Singh issued a notice to Satyender Jain. The trial court record has been summoned. The next date of hearing is July 28.

Advocates Siddhesh Kotwal, Manya Hasija and Rajaswi Vatsa appeared for MLA Karnail Singh.

On 29 May, the Court took cognizance of a defamation complaint against BJP MLA Karnail Singh.

Jain had alleged that Singh made a defamatory statement during an interview on a news channel on January 19, 2025.
