New Delhi, Sept. 21 -- The Rouse Avenue court on Monday granted bail to Satish Chander Vashisht, former Chief Engineer of Delhi Jal Board (DJB). He was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) in the DJB STP Tender scam case.

The court also granted anticipatory bail to Vinod Chauhan, whose name has surfaced during the investigation of the case.

ACB opposed both pleas on the ground that there is sufficient evidence against them.

Special Judge (MP-MLA Cases) Dig Vinay Singh allowed pleas moved on behalf of SC Vashisht and Vinod Chauhan.

The court granted bail to Vashisht on a bail bond of Rs. 2 Lakh and two sureties in the like amount, including other conditions.
