DDMO alerts system activated as water level nears warning mark in Rudraprayag amid heavy rainfall
Rudraprayag, July 2 -- The District Disaster Management Officer (DDMO) Nandan Singh Rajwar on Thursday informed that the water level in the region is being closely monitored amid rising inflows following rainfall in the upper Himalayan areas.
Rajwar said the current water level has reached 622 metres above sea level, while the warning level stands at 626 metres and the danger level at 627 metres.
He added that once the water level reached the warning mark, alerts will be issued through WhatsApp groups, public announcements will be made using vehicles, and ground teams will be deployed to warn residents.
