Data centres in India see shift in foreign investment to debt, minority stakes: S&P Global
New Delhi, Sept. 4 -- Foreign private equity and infrastructure funds are shifting their investment strategies toward minority equity stakes and debt financing to scale Indian data centre operators rather than buying companies outright, according to S&P Global Ratings.
The strategy allows global investors to deploy capital rapidly into India's digital infrastructure while bypassing complex regulatory hurdles linked to full cross-border acquisitions.
