Varanasi, Sept. 13 -- Varanasi Municipal Commissioner Himanshu Nagpal conducted a site inspection of the solid waste processing plant in Karasada on Sunday.

During the inspection, he issued strict instructions to increase the plant's processing capacity, given the increasing volume of waste generated in the city.

The Municipal Commissioner stated that the city previously received approximately 600 to 700 tons of waste daily, which has now increased to approximately 1,100 tons. Additional trommels will be installed at the plant to handle this significant increase in waste. Furthermore, all the RDF line equipment has arrived at the plant, and instructions have been given to install and commission it as soon as possible.
