New Delhi, July 24 -- Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Friday questioned the Centre over the appointment of IAS officer Naresh Pal Gangwar as Education Secretary alleging subsidy-linked irregularities during his tenure as Secretary to the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying.

In an X post, Jairam Ramesh also slammed the government after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said that it did not find any evidence to establish the involvement of Sanjeev Kumar alias Sanjeev Mukhiya in the NEET (UG) 2024 paper leak case.

Ramesh said that the two developments raised concerns over the integrity of the NDA government.
