New Delhi, May 28 -- The expected meeting between Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay on Thursday in Delhi has been postponed.

Ahead of the expected meeting, posters featuring both the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and CM Vijay were put up outside 10 Janpath. The posters read, "Congress back in Tamil Nadu after 59 years. Thank you, Thalaiva."

CM Vijay is scheduled to return to Chennai and is expected to depart from Delhi around 10 AM, with plans to reach Chennai by 12:15 PM.

No meeting with Congress leaders had been officially announced during Vijay's visit to the national capital.
