Chandigarh, March 19 -- Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday said that the party has apprised Haryana Governor Professor Ashim Kumar Ghosh of alleged irregularities, including cross-voting, during the Haryana Rajya Sabha polls.

Addressing reporters Hooda said, "We had informed the Governor... the Presiding Officer was completely partisan. Our votes were rejected... There were 5 cross votes, and 4 of them were declared invalid."

He alleged bias on the part of the Presiding Officer and claimed that several votes cast by Congress were unfairly rejected during the polling process.
