Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal pitches India's manufacturing opportunities to Japanese companies across key sectors
Osaka, Aug. 27 -- Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal held meetings with senior executives of leading Japanese companies in Osaka, seeking to deepen India-Japan cooperation and attract investment across semiconductors, electronics, aluminium, paints and coatings, and sports manufacturing.
The Minister shared the development in a series of tweets. Goyal met with a delegation led by Katsumi Azuma, President and CEO of ROHM Co. Ltd., and discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation in semiconductors and electronic components manufacturing.
"India's expanding electronics ecosystem offers significant scope for greater collaboration and investment," the Minister said.
