China faces growing global backlash as Uyghur groups intensify campaign against ethnic unity law
Munich, July 5 -- The World Uyghur Congress (WUC) has released its weekly brief highlighting its international advocacy efforts, using major global platforms in Japan and Europe to draw attention to what it describes as Beijing's continuing genocide, forced labour practices, and transnational repression targeting Uyghurs from East Turkistan.
During a three-day advocacy visit to Stockholm from June 26 to 28, senior representatives of the WUC and affiliated organisations met Swedish officials, lawmakers, and civil society representatives to discuss the human rights situation in East Turkistan.
