Bastar, May 18 -- A road accident in Chhattisgarh claimed the life of a woman and left 22 others injured in the Bastar district on Monday morning. The accident occurred when a passenger bus belonging to a private travel company lost control near the Balenga area.

Station House Officer (SHO) Suresh Jangde said, "A woman died, and 22 others escaped with minor injuries when a passenger bus of private travels met with an accident near Balenga under Bastar police station limits early this morning."

According to the officer, the injured passengers have been taken to the nearby district hospital for treatment.
