Tadepalli, July 30 -- YSRCP on Thursday alleged the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh was imposing severe restrictions on party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's tours because it could "not tolerate his growing public support".

Party spokespersons Putha Siva Shankar, Are Shyamala and Mancha Nagamalliswari accused the government of beginning to conspire whenever Jagan steps out to meet people and using police restrictions, advancing notices and house arrests to prevent party leaders and workers from reaching him, according to a release.

They claimed the government restricted YS Jagan's convoy to eight vehicles and issued notices to YSRCP leaders ahead of his Srikakulam visit to meet former Minister Dr Seediri Appalaraju in jail.
