Chandigarh, Aug. 6 -- In a bid to bolster security arrangements ahead of Independence Day on August 15, the Chandigarh Police on Thursday convened a meeting of the Tri-City Coordination Committee with senior police officers from neighbouring districts to review the law and order situation and enhance inter-state intelligence sharing.

The meeting, chaired by the Director General of Police, UT Chandigarh Sagar Preet Hooda, was held at the Chandigarh Police Headquarters in Sector 9. Senior officers from Panchkula, SAS Nagar (Mohali), Rupnagar (Ropar) and Solan, along with IPS officers of Chandigarh Police, attended the meeting to assess the prevailing security scenario and discuss coordinated measures for the upcoming national celebrations....
