CBI told to conclude probe in Moin Qureshi case within two months; Court says investigation has suffered delay
New Delhi, Aug. 1 -- A Delhi court has directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to conclude its investigation in the scheduled offence linked to the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) money laundering case against alleged meat exporter Moin Akhtar Qureshi and other accused within two months, observing that the investigation has already "suffered delay".
Special Judge (PC Act) Vishal Gogne passed the direction after the CBI sought three to four months to complete the probe, citing the voluminous nature of documents and digital records collected during the investigation. The agency also informed the court that proceedings on a limited issue concerning one of the accused, Satish Babu Sana, are pending before the Delhi High Court.
