BJP MP Tarun Chugh labels school book controversy in Jammu and Kashmir as "academic jihad"
New Delhi, July 5 -- Amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding a book in Jammu and Kashmir schools that allegedly portrays separatist leaders as "great personalities", BJP MP Tarun Chugh has termed the development a case of "academic jihad".
Speaking to ANI, he described the situation as a deliberate conspiracy to instil anti-India and anti-national sentiments in the minds of children by glorifying villains as heroes.
"This is not merely about a book. This is a case of 'academic jihad'--a conspiracy to instil anti-India and anti-national sentiments in the minds of children and to portray villains as heroes. The nation will not tolerate this," Chugh stated.
