New Delhi, Sept. 29 -- BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has said he has filed defamation proceedings against former Finance Secretary Subhash Chandra Garg, escalating the ongoing dispute between the two.

In a post on X, Dubey said he has filed a civil defamation suit before the Delhi High Court, seeking Rs.2 crore in damages from Garg. He also said a criminal defamation case has been filed before the Patiala House Court in Delhi. Dubey said the matter will now be decided by the courts and that the case will also examine his record as a parliamentarian over the last 18 years.
