New Delhi, Oct. 12 -- BJP Mahila Morcha workers and party workers on Monday staged a protest and marched to the Congress office demanding action against Congress MP from Inner Manipur, Angomcha Bimol Akoijam.

The protest was held following his dismissal from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) over allegations of sexually harassing female students.

Earlier, the Delhi Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) based on a complaint lodged by the Chief Security Officer of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi, officials said.

The FIR, dated October 11, 2026, was registered at the Vasant Kunj North Police Station under Sections 75, 75(1)(i), 75(1)(iv), and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
