Visakhapatnam, July 25 -- TDP state president and Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao said on Saturday that a grand opening ceremony for the Bhogapuram International Airport is being planned for August 1, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi being invited as the chief guest.

Speaking about the upcoming event, Rao said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has requested Prime Minister Modi to inaugurate the airport.

"On August 1, a grand opening for the Bhogapuram International Airport is being planned. Our Honourable Chief Minister, Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu Garu, has requested our Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, to be the chief guest and inaugurate the airport," Rao said.
