Bengal Congress chief accuses BJP of "abetting corruption"
Kolkata, June 12 -- West Bengal Congress president Subhankar Sarkar on Friday accused the BJP government in the state of not taking action over alleged corruption in West Bengal and said a "shadow opposition" has been formed taking advantage of turmoil in Trinamool Congress.
Subhankar Sarkar alleged that the homes of the poor are being demolished in the name of illegal construction.
"People voted for the BJP to fight corruption. Now, those very corrupt individuals have formed a 'shadow opposition.' Today, the homes of the poor are being demolished in the name of illegal construction," he alleged.
"Those who built massive houses and became MLAs are now part of this 'shadow opposition,' which is why their homes are not being demolished. ...
