California, April 8 -- Hundreds of Chinese dissidents and human rights activists assembled at Liberty Sculpture Park in California for the unveiling of a sculpture demanding that the Chinese Communist Party release detained lawyer Gao Zhisheng, as reported by The Epoch Times.
According to the report, Gao, nominated three times for the Nobel Peace Prize and known for defending religious freedoms, has been missing since August 2017.
The sculpture, titled "Gazing at the Stars--Gao Zhisheng," features a detailed depiction of his face and head.
