New Delhi, April 25 -- Baramulla MP Abdul Rashid Sheikh, also known as Engineer Rashid, has moved the Delhi High Court seeking interim bail to meet his ailing father. His plea comes a day after the Patiala House Court rejected a similar request.

The High Court is likely to hear the petition next week. His regular bail plea is also listed for hearing on Monday before a division bench of Justice Prathiba M. Singh. The petition has been filed through Advocate Vikhyat Oberoi.

On April 24, the Patiala House Court dismissed Rashid's interim bail application, in which he had sought permission to visit his father, who is on a ventilator.
