Assam CM Himanta reviews law and order, police reforms at senior officers' conference
Golaghat, Sept. 3 -- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday said maintaining law and order, improving conviction rates and strengthening the state police were among the key issues discussed during a two-day conference of senior police officers held in Dergaon.
Speaking about the conference, Sarma said the primary objective was to ensure that the law and order situation in Assam does not deteriorate under any circumstances.
"A two-day conference with Assam Superintendents of Police and other officers was organised. The main purpose of this conference was that law and order should be maintained in Assam. Law and order should not deteriorate under any circumstances," Sarma said.
