Goalpara, Nov. 7 -- Assam Minister for Agriculture, Irrigation and Parliamentary Affairs, Pijush Hazarika, on Saturday visited Goalpara district and participated in a series of programmes, including field inspections and review meetings of the Agriculture and Irrigation Departments, to assess the progress of ongoing schemes and address the requirements of farmers.

Accompanied by MLAs Tankeswar Rabha and Pabitra Rabha, the Minister visited the Darangiri Banana Market, where he interacted with farmers and traders and assured them of support through quality banana seedlings and phased expansion of irrigation facilities.
