Aichi-Nagoya, Oct. 4 -- Five gold medals, nine podium finishes and a series of historic milestones made archery one of the standout disciplines for India at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, with the country's young recurve archery star Kumkum Mohod emerging as the face of a campaign that also delivered success across compound events.

Indian archers finished with nine medals from 10 events -- five gold, two silver and two bronze -- matching their record medal haul from Hangzhou 2023 and making archery the most successful medal-winning discipline in terms of golds at the Games, according to Olympics.com.
