Aichi-Nagoya, Sept. 21 -- The Indian mixed doubles duo of Aadhya Tiwari and Jay Meena bowed out in the round of 16 of the soft tennis competition at the ongoing Asian Games 2026 at Japan's Aichi-Nagoya on Monday.

In their round-of-16 clash against Christy Sanosa and Sherwin Nuguit of Philippines, Aadhya and Jay lost 2-5 (scoreline of 4-2, 2-4, 2-4, 3-5, 2-4, 5-3, 6-8).

Aadhya and Jay started their campaign with a 5-0 win over Cambodia's Viva Chao & Chanroseka Khun, with set scores of 4-1, 4-0, 4-2, 4-1, 4-2.

Later on, they beat Mongolia's Bud Nyamdorj & Enkhkhuslen Ganbaatar 5-0, with set scores of 4-2, 4-1, 4-1, 4-0, 5-3.
