New Delhi, March 11 -- Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh on Wednesday submitted an adjournment motion notice in Rajya Sabha to discuss the alleged 'misuse' of Central Investigating Agencies and "inordinate delays" in investigations.

Sanjay Singh stressed that the situation of Central Investigating Agencies raises serious questions about the "impartiality" and "credibility" of our democratic institutions.

"According to recent reports based on the annual reports of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), over 7,072 corruption cases investigated by the CBI are pending in courts, of which 379 are more than 20 years old.
