Bhind, Aug. 18 -- Eight labourers were killed and over 25 others injured after a truck collided with a pick-up vehicle on National Highway-719 in Madhya Pradesh's Bhind district, police said on Tuesday.

The accident occurred near Chhimka village under the jurisdiction of Gohad Chauraha police station in the district at around midnight. The workers were returning to their homes in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh, after completing paddy transplantation work in Dabra and Chinor areas in Gwalior.
