New Delhi, Aug. 26 -- A 47-year-old tenancy dispute involving a shop in Jaipur has finally reached an amicable settlement during the Supreme Court's Samadhan Samaroh, bringing an end to decades of litigation.

The dispute dates back to 1952, when the shop was let out on tenancy. The landlord initiated eviction proceedings in 1979, and the matter went through several rounds of litigation before eventually reaching the Supreme Court in 2017.

The case came up before a bench comprising Justice Pamidighantam Sri Narasimha and Justice Alok Aradhe on August 23.
