Dibrugarh, April 3 -- A group of 30 tea garden workers from the Manohari tea estate in Dibrugarh have set off on a pilgrimage to Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya and Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the estate on April 1.

Speaking about the initiative, Rajan Lohia, Trustee of the Late Jhabarmal Lohia Charitable Trust, said, "PM Modi wanted that tea workers should see other parts of the country. Under this initiative, 30 tea workers are departing for Ayodhya and Kashi... PM Modi arrived at the tea garden, and he plucked the leaves. He gave us this idea."
