Upper Siang, Aug. 5 -- An earthquake of magnitude 3.6 was recorded in Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday afternoon, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).

The quake occurred at 3:31 PM IST. The epicenter was located at a latitude of 29.022 N and longitude of 94.683 E, at a depth of 10 km.

"EQ of M: 3.6, On: 05/08/2026 15:31:21 IST, Lat: 29.022 N, Long: 94.683 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Upper Siang, Arunachal Pradesh," NCS posted on X.

No reports of damage to property or loss of life have been received so far.
