Johannesburg, Oct. 2 -- Following the unveiling of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 schedule, former South African all-rounder Shaun Pollock said that the tournament could be the swansong for Indian legends Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Australian pacer Mitchell Starc. West Indies legend Brian Lara also warned that despite playing the qualifiers, the two-time champions Windies could "cause some chaos".

The tournament fixtures were unveiled at the official launch event, where ICC Hall of Famers Brian Lara and Shaun Pollock, as well as former Australia captain Aaron Finch and Proteas fast bowler Lungi Ngidi, shared their thoughts on what promises to be a landmark World Cup across Africa.
