New York, Sept. 22 -- New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani said he is prepared to set aside political differences with US President Donald Trump when doing so provides an opportunity to advocate for the interests of New Yorkers and the city.

Speaking to CNN's Christiane Amanpour in an interview on Monday, Mamdani said political disagreements should not prevent elected leaders from engaging with one another when their discussions could benefit the public.
