New Delhi, Oct. 4 -- All India Imam Association (AIAA) President Maulana Sajid Rashidi has hit out at All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, accusing him of spreading misinformation and indulging in identity politics over the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

Dismissing Owaisi's allegations as unsubstantiated claims meant to stir panic, Maulana Sajid Rashidi emphasised that election protocols require strict official verification for any voter deletion request.
