Hyderabad, Sept. 8 -- Telangana Congress leader Motha Rohit on Tuesday defended the arrest of BRS MLCs T Madhusudhan Rao alias Tata Madhu and N Naveen Kumar Reddy, saying the action was justified over their alleged remarks against Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar.

He said the Congress government had taken the right step by arresting Madhu, whom he accused of insulting a Dalit Speaker.

He also said the Congress would organise a protest at Gandhi Bhavan demanding the resignation of Tata Madhu.
