Guwahati, July 10 -- The Assam government is set to present its Budget for 2026-27 in the Legislative Assembly on Friday, with the ruling BJP expressing confidence that the financial blueprint will accelerate the state's development, fulfil key electoral commitments and lay a strong foundation for long-term growth.

Friday marks the fifth day of the Assam Assembly Budget Session, during which the state Budget is likely to be presented. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma arrived at the Assembly ahead of the proceedings.
