Kolkata, May 16 -- TMC MP Dola Sen on Saturday expressed confidence that "truth and justice" would prevail after an FIR was registered against the party's general secretary Abhishek Banerjee over alleged inflammatory speeches during the West Bengal Assembly election campaign.

Speaking to reporters here, Sen said the final verdict ultimately rests with justice and the people.

"The final verdict always rests with justice, truth, and the public. Therefore, we firmly believe that in this instance as well, the ultimate verdict will belong to truth, justice, and the common people," she said.
