Patna, Nov. 3 -- In a significant statement ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan on Tuesday indicated that his party is prepared to contest the state polls independently outside the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) if circumstances demand.

Asserting that his party is "100 per cent prepared" for every eventuality, Paswan noted that while an alliance would be welcomed, the LJP (RV) is fully geared up to field candidates across all 403 Assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh on its own.
