"This is an insult": Punjab BJP chief demands apology from Congress over AICC's 'Vande Mataram' row
Chandigarh, Aug. 16 -- Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon on Sunday criticised the Congress over the controversy surrounding the recitation of Vande Mataram at the AICC headquarters and demanded an apology from Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
Speaking to ANI, Dhillon described the alleged conduct as an insult to the national song and linked Vande Mataram with the sacrifices of those who laid down their lives for the country.
