Washington DC, April 2 -- Geopolitical risk advisor Colonel Douglas Macgregor (Retd) issued a stark assessment to US President Donald Trump's recent address to the nation outlining continued US pressure on Iran, saying that if such rhetoric continues by the US President against the Islamic Republic, the situation will "get a lot worse", particularly in the context of the global energy trade through the Strait of Hormuz.

In an interview with ANI, Col. McGregor described the US President's speech as "very disappointing" and said that it did little to chart a constructive path forward in the escalating conflict with Tehran since its inception on February 28.
