Srinagar, Aug. 29 -- Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday emphasised the importance of hard work and dedication in sports and urged athletes from the Union Territory to return to their villages and neighbourhoods to inspire children to pursue sports.

Speaking on National Sports Day, Sinha said there were no shortcuts in sports and called on sportspersons to actively contribute to developing a strong sporting culture across Jammu and Kashmir.
