New Delhi, April 28 -- Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MP Sasmit Patra on Tuesday emphasised that de-escalation and recommencement of dialogue between the US and Iran has to take place as regional mediation efforts intensify to resolve the West Asian conflict, alleging that the demand of "complete surrender" of Iran's nuclear program could lead to further escalation with China and Russia steeping into the fray.

Emphasising that the second round of negotiations should be prioritised by the US, he said that the West Asia conflict could be prolonged with no communication between the two nations.
