New Delhi, Aug. 18 -- Families of victims of Naxal violence from Chhattisgarh's Bastar region reached the national capital on Tuesday to oppose Congress leader and former Union Home Minister P Chidambaram's remark expressing pride in being a "dimagi Naxal", saying such statements hurt those who have lost their loved ones in Naxal attacks.

The 'Bastar Shanti Samiti', comprising locals from Bastar affected by Naxal violence, held a press conference in the national capital earlier today.

They protested against senior Congress leader and former Union Home Minister P Chidambaram's post on 'dimagi Naxals' and narrated their ordeal, including how they lost limbs or family members in Naxal ambushes and IED blasts.
