"Revelation, matter of satisfaction for India": Ex-Uttar Pradesh DGP on UNSC linking Al-Qaeda to Nov 2025 Red Fort blast
Noida, Aug. 13 -- Former Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police Vikram Singh on Thursday welcomed the United Nations Security Council's report attributing the November 2025 Red Fort blast to Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS), stating that the revelation was a matter of satisfaction but stressing that authorities now need to act "on a war footing" to dismantle the terror group's wider support network.
Speaking to ANI, Singh stated that while some had earlier claimed India was exaggerating the threat, the latest UNSC assessment had now established the vastness of the module's network.
He said the network used cryptocurrency to transfer funds as well as vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VIEDs).
