Ranchi, Sept. 7 -- Jharkhand BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo said the priority after the Satya Niketan building collapse in Delhi is rescue and relief, while ensuring proper treatment and compensation for the injured.

A total of 12 people have been rescued from the site of the Satya Niketan building collapse, while seven people have died, Delhi Police said on Monday, adding that one more person was recovered from the debris.

Speaking to ANI, Shahdeo said an inquiry has been ordered into the incident, amid reports that unauthorised basement construction may have triggered the collapse.
