"Over 75% of states suffering from low fertility ratios": TDP spokesperson Pattabhiram defends Andhra's childbirth incentive scheme
Vijayawada, May 17 -- Telugu Desam Party (TDP) National Spokesperson Kommareddy Pattabhiram on Sunday said the Andhra Pradesh government's decision to offer financial assistance for families having a third and fourth child is aimed at addressing the declining fertility rate in the state and across the country.
Pattabhiram said that more than 75 per cent of Indian states are facing low fertility ratios, which could pose serious challenges in the future.
