"Open your mouth, CM!": DMK MLAs wear black badges to protest deteriorating condition of law and order in state
Chennai, June 18 -- Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MLAs wore black badges in the state assembly on Thursday to protest the alleged deterioration of the law and order situation in Tamil Nadu.
Ahead of the session, the legislators staged a demonstration inside the Assembly premises, amidst the reported rise in sexual violence against young girls in the state. They carried placards featuring slogans such as "Open your mouth, CM!", "Can you hear the cries of anguish, CM?", and "Young girls are here; where are the 'Lion Women'?".
