Jind, July 17 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said India's first hydrogen-powered train, flagged off between Jind and Sonipat, is the world's most powerful hydrogen train, asserting that the country's indigenous railway technology has placed India among a select group of nations operating hydrogen-powered trains.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi flagged off India's first hydrogen-powered train between Jind and Sonipat, marking a significant step towards clean and sustainable mobility in the railway sector.
