Kathmandu, Aug. 27 -- Nepal continues to battle the aftermath of a massive flash flood following a powerful surge along the Bhote Koshi River, resulting in a devastating loss of life, widespread displacement, and extensive damage to homes, roads, bridges, hydropower facilities, and other critical infrastructure. At least 175 people have been reported killed by the flood, while nearly 476 foreign nationals, including 178 Indians, are still unaccounted for.

Nepal Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal, while speaking to NDTV News Network at the 'Anviksha' dialogue in Kathmandu, said the impact of the devastation was huge and the government is still gauging the depth of the tragedy.
