Tiruchirappalli, Oct. 7 -- Tamil Nadu BJP president Nainar Nagendran on Tuesday questioned leader of the oppositon in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on his allegations regarding irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, asking on what grounds he is seeking the removal of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC).

Nagendran was speaking to reporters at Tiruchirappalli airport after arriving from Chennai to attend an event at the RSS office in the city.

"On what grounds is Rahul Gandhi seeking the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar? I do not understand what complaint he has made or why he is making such allegations," Nagendran said.
